These are a few of my favorite things....

I have seem to have found A LOT of my very favorite things in the last few months, I thought I might share them with you.  You can thank me later ;)

So this is funny, my husband Wren has a class with this girl.  He came home on the first day and said, "Sav, there is this girl that sits next to me.  She smells amazing but I don't dare ask her what perfume she wears because I don't want her to think I am hitting on her but I want you to buy it."  I said, "She will think you're hitting on her, but find it out."  So after a couple of weeks, he finally mustered up the courage to ask.  And this is it.... and I LOVE it.... and I hope she doesn't have a crush on my husband now ;)

THIS conditioner my friends, is seriously THE BEST!  It is super thick, which I need, and smells phenomenal.  My hair smells good for a couple days from it.  Like abnormally good.  And it's called resurrection, what more do you need to know?

K I had never used eye makeup remover until last year.  Seriously, I know way weird huh?  Now that I have used it, I don't know how I ever didn't use it.  This stuff is the best, a couple quick wipes and all your eye makeup is bu bye.  Saves time getting ready for bed which means more to me than you know ;)  I also have some friends that sell it too, so let me know if you want any.

This is fantastic.  Sad for Sav, she has jet black curly eyebrows, thank you daddy.  So I dab a little of this on and my monstrosity of an eyebrow(s) stay in place.

My cousin introduced me to this a couple years ago.  I would have never thought I would ever wear hot pink eyeshadow, but I promise it is so dang cute on.  Plus it stays on all day.  Buy it, you won't be sorry!

This is another favorite from Mary Kay.  It is a cheek highlighter.  I love it because it makes my skin look clear and smooth while giving it some shimmer.  And it's the first blush that doesn't make me break out so yay for it.  I buy the "Pink Porcelain" color.

Okay my face has some issues.  It's super shiny, yet somehow feels dry, and breaks out.  I finally found something that works amazingly!  This face wash has just enough whatever it has to make my face not break out, while not making it too dry.  I love it.  If it works for me, it will work for everyone!

Okay this stuff is a life saver.  As I mentioned earlier, my face is off the charts shiny, but I hate putting layer after layer of powder foundation on my face, I hate the look of too much foundation plus it makes me break out.  Surprise, surprise.  So one day as I was browsing the isles at Tarjay, I saw this diamond in the rough.  It's powder, but I buy the "colorless" kind, and serious, you can't even tell I have anything on but it makes my face not shiny and I can reapply it and reapply it as much as my little heart desires without even seeing it.  I have been waiting for this my whole adolescent life, finally.  You came a little late in the game Sonia Kashuk, but you're here now and my oily face in pictures thanks you ;)  So thank you very much!

This mascara is awesome.  It's water proof, stays on all day, doesn't smudge, goes on super smooth, and somehow comes off easy.

This face lotion is also by Image and in the Clear Cell line.  It doesn't make your face too dry or too oily, and clears it up like a charm.  Why do I get zits when I'm 25?  Winner gets a million.

K I am obsessed with this Mirabella eye liner.  I rarely wear eyeliner because it's such a pain in my you know what to put on.  But when I do wear it, I use this.  I get it in black.  You need a good eyeliner brush to apply it, Mirabella also has good brushes.  I just get my brush damp and then run it along the eye shadow pod and it glides on my eyes like a dream and it STAYS on like a dream too.  Seriously, stays on all day without smudging.  Try it, I DARE you ;)

Last, but most definitely not least, in fact it's probably the best on this list, is this chemical free hair relaxer.  I was skeptical to try it when I heard about it, but after using it, it's like a gift from heaven.  Really.  I have curly hair, so when I blow dry it with the intention of straightening it, all hell breaks loose.  My hair is, no joke, everywhere.  But this my friends, calms it like there's no tomorrow.  I blow dry my hair about 50% (I know, what the heck does that mean?) just so it's dry enough to where it's still damp (huh?), but not too wet to where this stuff will be dripping out of your hair after you apply it.  So anyway, after you PARTIALLY dry it (should have said that in the first place ;)) apply a fair amount of this bad boy in your hair and finish drying it, and then straighten.  A lot of people probably wouldn't even need to use a straightener after.  I barely need to (which is a down right miracle) but let's just say this is the year of good hair days.  FINALLY!

Thank you for listening to me ramble, and you are VERY welcome for the good tips ;)

Bangs By Sis. . .

Lately I have been noticing bangs. I used to not be the biggest fan of bangs, probably because I have been traumatized by own bangs multiple times in my life, but mostly from when i was little, if any of you remember, they were like helmet style. However, i have been paying attention to different bang styles and i have taken a liking to the straight across bangs, like the ones i had when i was little, however, if i were to cut them again i would make sure they did not start right on top of my head this time :) So my reasoning for this post is to pose a question to all of you followers out there,
What type of bangs do you think i should cut??? Here are some examples of styles i like.

I really love these ones!
ok this one is a joke i just thought they were funny! haha

Her's might be my favorite.
or hers.

So what do you all think???

Dresser Do Over

Some of you have maybe already seen this from my personal blog.  But I thought I might share it here as well.  I found this dresser on KSL after looking forever for one.  It was exactly what I wanted and the cheapest one by far.  I literally stalked the guy who was selling it through texts, emails, and phone calls until he called me back and then immediately went and paid him the $100 and took my prize home.

BEFORE: NOT PRETTY
Right after I bought it, I promptly came home and sanded it, re-stained it, covered the bench, and put new knobs on it.  Such an easy project, and for $100!  Can't go wrong!

AFTER
Great dresser to organize all the goods ;)
So easy to reupholster things like this.

1.  Unscrew the pad from the frame
2.  Stretch new fabric over it very tightly
3. Staple the new fabric down underneath
4. Screw it back onto the frame
Wala!
Now I can sit down, relax, and enjoy myself why I get my hair did ;)

Love is in the Air By Sissy. . .

Ever year it seams as if i have about a thousand weddings to go to during the months of April and May. I have already been to three so far and have one the next two weekends. I'm beginning to feel like the girl on 27 Dresses. However, I don't mind weddings at all. Actually, I really love them. But probably not for the same reason that everyone else loves them. I love them because of all the decorations and careful planning that goes into making them the beautiful celebrations that they are. I have snapped a few shots of my friends weddings and also just saved some pictures of other weddings I liked. Whether you are getting married soon or not i hope this sparks some inspiration for your own embellishing endeavors.
My roomies had a candy bar at her wedding and it was the hit of the evening. Everyone was loving the souvenir candy bags they got to take home.
this is a little bit more formal one, i love how it still sticks with the color theme.
This is my dream to ride bikes away instead of driving, i think it's so cute!
Another cute idea for the getaway that one of my friends did and her pictures turned out so cute is sparklers.
This might be too casual for some people but i think adding some variety to shoes can really spice things up.
you can even do it with the bridesmaids too! i love this!
Matching vans. . . i love it!
It seams like cupcakes are really in right now, i think this is a cute idea if you're not a huge fan of cake.
My roommate had something similar to this at her wedding this past weekend. Its very subtle but still adds a nice touch.
This is my other rommates wedding and i just loved how she did it. she paid such close attention to all the details. make sure to notice her center pieces. Some of the vases are super tall which was really nice because it didn't block the view of the people sitting across from you at dinner.
Her dad went and cut down those birch branches himself. See aren't these center pieces amazing. she did them all herself.
On one of their first dates they got a fortune they loved and have kept it ever since so there was a fortune cookie and truffle inside. But i almost did open mine i thought they were packaged so nicely.
I don't know if you can see them very well but i was trying to get a picture of the hanging candles above the cake. they looked way sweet!

Awesome Deal!

K so I made my way to Walgreens the other day and as I was passing the perfume isle, these In Style perfumes caught my eye.  At first I just liked them because I thought the bottles were cute, but as I looked closer, I saw that they had the same names as name brand perfumes.  Now I have never been a fan of knock offs, just because it seems like they smell weird.  But as I started smelling them, NO JOKE, they smell like the real deal.  I have been wanting to refill my Theirry Mugler, Angel perfume and my Dolce and Gabbana, Light Blue perfume but just haven't because they are so expensive, and to be honest perfume kind of makes me sick, but every once in a while this girl likes to put a spray or two on.  Anyway, they had both of these perfumes and they literally smell exactly like the real ones.  And the really funny thing is Angel perfume will stay on for days.... literally, run your clothes through the cycle and they will still smell like it, and SO does this knock off Angel perfume.  But the best part is, they are only $12.95.  I almost died!  The lady there was also telling me that if you get the Sunday paper you can find buy one get one free.  They have mens colognes too so buy yourself one and grab him one for free!  Just thought I'd share the info....

For the Love of Bedrooms

Ever since I can remember I have had a fetish with bedrooms.  My mom has said about me, "What 14 year old is out buying bedding?"  Right here thank you very much.  I have way too many blankets, duvets, pillows, sheets, to even count.  I have a problem.  But there is nothing I enjoy more than going into my bedroom with the bed made, the sheets clean, lamps turned on, turning down the bed, curling up watching TV or reading a magazine.... but even more importantly I LOVE a stylin bedroom.  I am way funny about the comfort of any room, especially my bedroom.  I love clean lines with fuzzy pillows and pops of color with cozy blankets covering the bed and dim lamp light.  And there ain't no one who likes a big white bed spread as much as this cat.  I love inviting rooms period.  One's that say, sit your butt down Sav and stay awhile!  Anyway, below are some of my favorite bedrooms featured on Elle.com.  Enjoy

Love this magazine BTW, you should all subscribe ;)

OBSESSED with the tiling in this room!  Could you die?

LOVE the furry pillows on this bed.  They make the whole room.
Do you not love this green tree wallpaper?  It's so cute with the yellow walls, black and white pillow, and pineapple lamp base.

You know who loves this leopard blanket ;)
Look how cute this mirrored desk is.... love it!

I love platform beds, and the lime green fuzzy pillows, again, make the room.  I also love the connective nightstands to the bed and the frames over the bed.

K I can't get over the light pink mirror with the simple white bed, bright pink pillows, and white curtains.  SO cute.  The chair is the icing on the cake ;)

Winner gets a prize.  What does this picture to the left remind you of?
Wouldn't this be so cute for your kids?  Just shove em all in one room and call it good ;)
The pattern to this red and white bedspread is so cute.  I also love the picture above the bed.  This room is a mixture of new and old and I LOVE it!

Again, love this white and red bed spread.  Normally I'm not a red person, but I love it.

There is something about this room that I like.  Maybe it's the gray curtains hanging down.
Would you not die to have this stair case?  I LOVE!

This bed is so dang cool.  That little stool is perfect too ;)
Who wants this view to wake up to?  I DO!
I would pay an arm and a leg for this bed frame.  Everything about it is perfect.

I also love the bed frame here too.
This would be my husband's dream room.  The brightly  colored canvas with a bed no one had to make.

The lamp shades here are way too cute.  I love how tall they are!
This black bed frame is TO DIE!  Oh my gosh, I love it with the white pillows too.  Everything about this room is working.

I'm a sucker for black and white.
Love the blue chair.

This blue chandelier is so dang cute.  When I have a house, there will be a brightly colored chandelier hanging in every room ;)

Obsessed with the light pink drapes in this room.

I love this pink bedspread, and even funnier, depending on how your feeling about your husband that night, place either the "yes" or "no" pillow on his side.  I'm sorry, but I HAD to say it.  It would be hilarious!

Hope you enjoyed!
