Today

Today we slept in and had a wonderfully lazy morning.  Wren made us smoothies, I took a bath, and then we went to Eden's soccer game.  They won and Eden is the best goalie on the block!  You go sister :)

On the way home, we stopped at Thanksgiving Point to buy me some of these.....
My weakness, chocolate covered sea foam.  BTW, it's half as cheap at Thanksgiving Point than anywhere else I've looked.  It's worth the trip, plus I LOVE the store too.  We also got samples and fudge and they have the funnest old school candy down there.  Candy you would remember buying when you were little.  I wanted to buy all of it, but refrained and walked away with just these....
Do you remember them?  My dad would always buy these for me when I was little.  They are the little candy lipsticks.  I LOVE them and a COMPLETE blast from the past.  I'm going to eat one now, scratch my tongue all up in the process (these and Fun Dip would always do a number on my poor tongue) and put myself even further in a candy coma.  I'm just so tired from eating almost half a pound of sea foam and almost a WHOLE salad at Cafe Rio!  Wow I'm a girl who appreciates putting things into my mouth.

But on to more important news.  I decided to go with these bad boys yesterday...
Don't you LOVE them?  I do.  Eden did too :)
Sorry, I had to crop my face out, I was looking JUST that fantastic today :)
Anyway, hope you all had a great Saturday.  I'm going to keep laying around in bed listening to the rain.   YES!

Memorial Day Recipe and Which Shoe?

Tonight at 6:00 PM, marks the beginning of three LONG days of freedom for me, very fitting on this Memorial Day weekend wouldn't ya say?  No work.... and I can't even contain my excitement!  Wren and I are headed up to mountain bike tonight and I can't wait to be up there and not have to think about anything (except for falling off my bike, cross your fingers I don't) and spending time with the man I call mine :)  But what I'm even more thankful for than this three day weekend, is our continual freedom.  It's important to remember that freedom was not free.  I am so thankful for all of the people who have risked their lives and died so that we can be free today.  Thank you from the bottom of my baby girl heart.

In celebrating this fine holiday, I think I am going to make this recipe (what's really good too is if you add chocolate chips to the dough, this recipe doesn't call for it, but do it, you won't be sorry) But it's called Fruit Pizza and my cute mother in law makes it on occasion, and puts the chocolate chips in too (can you tell I'm really concerned that you put the chocolate chips in?  Don't forget....) and it is TO DIE FOR.  Have you ever tried it?  If you haven't, really you must :)

This one would be so cute, and fitting for the up-coming weekend.
Delish looking huh?

AND, I might wander over and buy these pretties tonight....

or possibly these.....

I need your help, which ones to do you like better?

We'll see, the weekend is young and there are so many possibilities and I am just so happy!

Happy Memorial Day everyone, have a fantastic weekend!

Website After My Own Heart

So I was reading All Things Lovely today (you should check this blog out, you'll love it) and Cami mentioned a website called Pinterest.com and how awesome it is.  SO, of course I had to pick up my chubby little finger and click the link, and boy is it fun....go check it out.  It really is so great!  I'm still trying to figure it out, but basically I think you can set up a profile and then just post pictures in your albums of your favorite things.  So anything cute you run across day to day that you want to save for later, you can just upload it to your account at Pinterest and then can look back on them.  But everyone can see and share what they love.  I think that's the jest of it anyway.  But go check it out, it's the greatest find this side of the Mississippi.  It's going to be the next best thing to FB, just you wait :)

Here are some of my favorites....(You can click on this links above the pictures if you want to see more favorites by the person who posted it)

Jen's New Pad AND Hair

The other day as I was going to my Yahoo inbox, when an article sparked my interest....  I read that Jennifer Aniston recently purchased a one-bedroom penthouse apartment in NYC's West Village and it looked awesome.  So I went on over to Elle Decor's website and found lots of pictures of this baby and I am in love with it.  It has huge windows, white walls, fabulous decor, and views of the city.  How fun would that be?  You could run down to the corner, get some award winning pizza, bring it back up, and eat it while staring at views of the city.... I know what I want :)

AND, member how I mentioned last week that I always wanted my parents to buy the condo above our condo downtown so we could combine them with a windy staircase?  WELL, this is exactly what Jen is doing (I don't know if with a windy staircase or not) but she bought this 18th floor apartment as well as the apartment below it, on the 17th floor, and is going to connect them together.  AND hopefully with a windy staircase like I always dreamed of (do it for me Jen), for a combined 2,700 square foot pad with an additional 900 square feet of outdoor space.

Look how cute....

This patio would be so fun!  Go outside, drink hot chocolate in the morning, do yoga, take a nap, read a book, cuddle with your honey, the possibilities are just ENDLESS :)

What do ya think?

And, in other important news :) did you see that Jen just died her hair dark?  Do you like it?  It definitely makes her eyes pop.
Do you like it better than this?  I personally love this long bob!
Or perhaps this is still your favorite....
I know my dad loves it :)

Well, I just love Jen because she is always so amazingly personable on Oprah and I think we could be great friends.  In my head we are :)

Have a great Tuesday, aren't you glad Monday is over?  Me too :)

I am 25

I was thinking about the last five years today and how really, it's all just one big blur, and the older I get, the blurrier it gets.  I can't really remember what happened when, and the years just seem to blend into one another.  It's so funny because I can remember being in high school and everything was such a big deal and I remembered everything so vividly.  Who said what about who, and stupid trivial things like that.  Things that were a big deal back then, wouldn't even make me bat an eye today, and if something does have an impact on me, an hour later I will have forgotten it even happened.  Why is this?  Am I pre-menopausal already?

Turning 25 last year was a groundbreaking moment for me.... it was the realization that I am officially in my mid-twenties.  Again, how did this happen?  Getting from 20 to 25.  I don't remember it happening.  I feel a mix of emotions when I think about it.  I'm happy because I think the older I get, the more I am figuring myself out.  Trust me, I still have a long way to go in that department, but I am understanding the crazy foreign language that is constantly rolling inside my head a little bit better.  With a Cosmetology License and a Bachelors degree, I still have no idea, really, what I want to do.  I do know I want to be Wren's wife and the mom to his babies one day though, and I guess that's all the really matters.  A depressing thought is that my face will never look any younger, my hair will slowly start to grow gray, my butt ain't gettin any tighter....but with them comes wisdom I suppose.  I just remember being 18 and wanting so badly to be in my twenties so people would value my opinion; treat me like an adult.  Now that I'm here, I want to be younger as to not have to feel the pressure of having to have it all figured out.  I want time to STOP.

Here are the last five years in pictures, they help me remember a little bit better what happened.  Thought you might enjoy.  Oh, and please do tell which hairstyle you like the best, I would LOVE to know :)
