Thread Brilliance & Whatever, Whenever, Wednesday Link Up!

Okay FIRST off, the cutest girl ever, Gentri, is doing a giveaway for one of my pillows from my etsy shop today.  Wahoo!  She's got the cutest blog and I think you should all go enter the giveaway...
PLUS she's got a coupon code to get 25% off ANY of my pillows for the entire week!  WHAT!?  YES!
So go, go, go here to enter! :)
NOW...
Does anyone else have the issue of attacking of the sewing thread going on?
I know I do.  It's like everywhere.  I have millions of different colors, but every time I start a new project it sounds like torture to have to go look through the thread I already have.  As a result, I end up just buying a new one.  I know, super lazy and wasteful.

Well I was at Walmart the other day and I came across this precious little thing...
Only $9.98.  What a clever way to keep your thread organized huh?  And actually be able to FIND it when you need it.  I should have invented it...

I wasn't digging the probably-will-give-me-slivers-look of it, so I spray painted the bad boy green...
Just look how convenient this will be?
You need green thread Sav?  Oh okay, it's right in front of your face because you are so organized Sav.
Thank you Sav.
;)
If you sew, I think it's a must have.
My life just got dramatically betta.

Now for the link up party!

Day 1 of Wren's Holiday Bucket List... Winder Dairy!

Yesterday my fancy husband emailed me this:

Here are some things we need to do this holiday season

-Go to winder dairy on 4400 W 4100 S and get scones and egg nog.
-Go to the cool house with lights synced to the radio
-Temple square lights followed by café on 1st!
- Do a sub for Santa
-What else do you think?

How cute is he?  CUTE.
So last night we ditched our yoga class (yay!), bundled up, and crossed Winder Dairy off our list.
I never even knew that you could go to Winder Dairy for anything other than milk.  But you can.  And it's amazing.  Their store is down this little Christmas lit lane of houses decked to the halls.  It is so cute!  Once inside they have scones and eggnog and all kinds of good milk (I got a peaches'n cream one and it's all I can think about) and hot chocolate and it's pretty much pure gold there!
What?  A single thing of milk was basically the same price as a gallon... and we needed milk anyway so.... sue me.
Wren, you outdid yourself young man.  Good idea!

I'd say the Withers kicked this Christmas season off with a bang!  BAM.  Onto the cool house with the lights synced to the radio.  What's this you ask?  Well stay tuned.... :)  It's pretty much perfection!  And after we do lights, and sub for Santa, in the famous words of Wren, what else do you think we should do?
What are your fun plans for this holiday season?

Thanksgiving

Did everyone have a good Thanksgiving?  We sure did.  I'm so mad at myself though, we took hardly any pictures.  We woke up, went on a walk (we don't do 5Ks, we go on leisurely walks on Thanksgiving).  At noon, we went and ate a delicious HUGE meal with my extended family.  My aunts and uncles outdid themselves with yams, turkeys, rolls, and pies.  Later that night we headed to up to Park City to eat another dinner with Wren's two older sisters, their husband's, and the babies.  Carter outdid himself and made the best darned Thanksgiving on the block.  We had crab and spicy sausage stuffing, fresh green bean casserole with bacon, turkey, and orange rolls.  We were dining in style.  Plus Allyssum made some excellent pies, and her and her husband were dressed up as Indians and performed quite the ceremonial number.  It was phenomenal
AND aren't these little turkeys Willow made ADORABLE?  The babies thought they were pure gold.
Poor things, they were all they could think about.
It's always good to have a day to reflect on all the things we are thankful for, even though we should notice it daily.  I'm so thankful for my amazing family and for Wren and for my bed and unlimited supplies of food and for the outdoors and this beautiful earth we get to live on.  Life is good.

The Holidays...& Whatever, Whenever, Wednesday Link Up!

I was looking through Pinterest yesterday (which I normally do not do, it's just way too overwhelming for me, but nonetheless I did) and I spotted TONS of cute stuff that I thought would be so fun for the holidays...
With Thanksgiving only a couple days away, I had to share.

Are these shoes not the cutest things... EVER?
They are.  Even Santa would be tryin to catch my eye :)
We are making desert for a Holiday party this year, do I dare try these?
They are pretty adorable and Wren's family would be thinking, "Oh my gosh, Savannah, what a domestic wife Wren has."  I'd have them fooled and I'd feel cool.  If I can pull them off that is.  Maybe I'll outsource and claim they're mine ;)
Love this dress.
Would have no where in the world to wear it to, but still a nice idea that one day I might.
When I'm famous ;)
Fun little spin off of white tips, perfect for the holidays.
Normally I wear earrings that are large and in charge, but these little studs... are studs.
I love me some peppermint, especially this time of year.  My mother-in-law's Baked Alaska is pretty much to die for.
I would imagine these would taste similar.
I thought about maybe attempting these for the holiday party, for like a fragment of a second, and then I threw that idea out fast  Who am I kidding.  This would completely push me over the edge.
Love these brown nails.  So fun for Thanksgiving.  Too bad they don't have this color in Shellac, because this would start chipping off a day after spending an hour painting it.
Why is nail polish so crappy like that?
Nail polish, you have the right to remain cute for a day, and then super annoying for a week after.
 LOVE this green coat.
This whole outfit is so fun.  Again, no where in the world to wear it to...
Maybe to Cafe Rio? ;)
Aren't these silver shoes fun?  I could be Santa's little helper.

And last but not least, I'm getting these slippers and wearing them all year long.
And Wren will love me even more and won't be embarrassed or ashamed by me in the least :)
Have a WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING if I don't post before then!

Now for the link up party!

The Perfect Bra At H&M Is Why I Love It Even More...

Okay so I know it's kind of weird blogging about bras, BUT c'mon girls, we all have to wear them so why not let me share THE DEAL OF THE CENTURY WITH YOU!???

Okay so are any of you familiar with the Bombshell Bra from Vicki's Secret?  Well if you're not, that bra my friends cost me like a whopping $70 a couple years ago.  And embarrassingly enough, I've literally worn it for two years straight because who wants to buy another $70 bra?  Not I said the Sav.  Sue me Wren.  Well, while strolling around the beloved new H&M, I ran across these bras (and they have tons of different colors too).  They fit and look WAY better than the Bombshell Bra and are a million times more comfortable, like I'm not ripping my bra off the second I get home kind of comfortable, and guess for how much?  Don't faint when I say it K?  $9.95!  I do not kid!  I'm still speechless because the quality and the look of them are so great!  Vicki Secret, you've got a run for your money baby.
And SPEAKING of the new H&M, it deserves so much more than what's written above.  It's awesome and amazing and brilliant and smart and cute... even though I didn't find as much as I thought I would.  That's okay though.  It's still H&M, and it's still finally here :)
Chanty, Sara, and I made a little lunch/shopping date out of it...
See how pleased I am with my bra find?  As punch.

Okay this infinity scarf is from Brass Plum, but I still had to share.  It's SOOOOOO comfortable.  I think my old bra has cause to be jealous.  I might be wearing this scarf more than I wore that old worn out thing!
If you're obsessed with comfort and warmth like I am, oh and looking way cool ;)  This is the scarf for you.

So basically, you should go to H&M now if you live in the area... the bras are going fast.
Like tons more were gone only one day later.
Good LUCK! :)

Girl's Night Out...Dinner & Candy & Shopping & Cupcakes!

Saturday night was perfect.  Britt, Sara, and I went out to celebrate the birth of the adorable Brittany :)  We went to dinner, shopped till we dropped, purchased some old school candy, and went for cupcakes.....
.....and then shopped some more.
Can I get three cheers for girlfriends?!

Dreaming of Fancy Parties and Sequin Skirts

So I have been wanting me a sequin skirt this season.  You know, to wear for the holidays.  You know, because I have SO many fancy holiday parties to attend to.
I'm really cool.
But knowing me, I'll buy one, put it on for a holiday family get together (which will be anything but fancy BTW, sequins would SCREAM, "What theeeee......?"), then take it off in opting for something comfier and more practical so aunts and uncles and cousins don't look at me thinking "What theeee....?"
But nonetheless, I'm still liking the idea of this sequin thing....

Aren't these babies cute?
LOVE that feather one.

SEE?  Now don't you want one for the holidays?!
Here are a couple different ones that I'm contemplating on...
1. Lulu's- $45.00
2. DownEast Basics- $44.99 (Featured in O magazine, so duh that makes this one my fave)
3.  Banana Republic Skirt-  $69.99
Which one do you like the best?
Are YOU going to buy one?  If so, SEND ME A PIC OF YOU WEARING IT!  I'll post about it!

And while I'm wining and dining in my sequin skirt elegantly laughing at sophisticated Uncle Charles...
My husband will be wearing this.
'
Honey, I'm buying this as we speak and you WILL wear it.  Especially when you go skiing with the dudes.  No ifs, ands, or butts about it k?  Just tell them your wife is worried about her baby boy, and she doesn't want your foo man's shoe to get frost bite.  And if they make fun of you?....
Well they're just jealous they wouldn't be able to pull it off as suavely as you ;)
Touche?
