Light at the End of the Tunnel...

...when things have been so scary:
Much, much more where this came from coming this week.
On an even happier note; today is my official last day of work.  What?!  Yes.  I couldn't be happier.  Tomorrow is going to be like the BEST.DAY.EVER.  No work phone to worry about, no having to be tied down till six, FREEDOM.  And it couldn't have come at a more opportune time.  This pregnant lady has never been more exhausted.  Ever, in my whole life.  I might just sleep the entire day away tomorrow!

Paint Colors... Done and Done!

I just want to say thanks so much for all the suggestions on this post last week in regards to paint colors for our little house.
We actually used a lot of your suggestions!
We are about half way done painting (BIG thanks to my sweet uncle for helping us out so much!) and we couldn't be more excited.
Here are some images of rooms painted very similarly to what we ended up choosing.
For the family room we are doing a bright white like this...
I want TONS of bright pops of color everywhere.

For the kitchen, we painted the cabinets a bright white (we almost lost me, literally I'm still mad at the cabinets) and are doing the walls gray like this...

For the full bathroom we are doing a golden green color like this...
And actually the marble floors we put in are high gloss black and white and the vanity and sink are high gloss white.  Really similar look to the image above.  I'm sure our stuff is much higher quality though ;)  Kidding.

For the little half bath downstairs, we went with a very pale turquoise like this...

In the famous words of Beyonce, the color in our bedroom is fierce.
It's called chilled lemonade and looks very similar to this...
Maybe not quite as bright.

For the guest bedroom/office we chose a coral color like this.
I want to add lots of white and gray to that room.

And last, but most importantly :), the baby's room has this really retro wallpaper on one wall that we thought was super vintage and cute.  It will go perfectly with his crib (shown in this post).
The other three walls we painted this grayish color...
What do you think?  Okay choices?
I don't think two people have ever been more exhausted.  It's been one thing after the next, working full time and staying at the house till 1:00am.  But I think we are going to make our deadline.
Boo Ya!
We can't wait!

Now you know what time it is...

Like Getting Pampered?

So I just discovered some of my favorite stuff.  Have you heard of Perfectly Posh?  It's a line of pampering products and let me tell you what, their products are awesome!  Tiffany Lundin sent me some of their stuff to try and I just love all of them.
Here are my favorites...
I am a huge bath person so every single one of these products makes a bath ten times more relaxing.  Whether it's using the stripper before getting in the tub, the soap or bombinators while in, or using the lotions after I get out... they all rock!  Tiffany can help you out with ordering anything.  Check out all their products HERE!  Oh and tell her Savannah sent you.  Cause that would be cool :)

4 Years Strong

Happy Anniversary Wren!
It's been an amazing four years.  As I look back at all of these memories I am flooded with emotion because I love you so much.  Anything with you is more fun.  Ask anyone.  Everyone loves to be around you.  I could spend every minute with you and it would never get old.
I didn't know they made husbands as nice as they made you.  How did I get so lucky?  And how do you never get mad?  Wow.
I love that you call me every couple hours just to check in and see how I'm doing.  Or anytime anything exciting happens throughout your day, you call or email me right away.  You are the biggest bearer of good news and I just love that.
You're the most caring person in the world and have so much faith in me.
Thanks for always believing in me.
I can't wait to see you with your "minnie you" soon (crossing my fingers he gets those million dollar dimples).  You will be the best daddy ever.
Two Wrens?  I can't imagine it getting any better than that!
And goll... you just keep getting sexier and sexier ;)
Thanks for cleaning the bathtub this morning so I could enjoy my morning bath on our anniversary.
You are very thoughtful and know what gets me.
We will be headed back up to the "bomb" later, and can't think of anywhere else I'd rather be than fixing up our new home together for our growing little family.  Thanks for all of the hard work you have put into it this last week.  I can't believe you're still standing.  Seriously.
You will always be the apple of my eye.
I love you Wren!

Day #1 of House Do-over

There are not words in the English language that can adequately describe the hellish state our kitchen was/still is in...  We knew it was going to be a project, but who knew no one had cleaned the inside of any of the cupboards and drawers for 20+ years?  Not us.  Everything was sticky and gooey, and oh my gosh I'm gagging even thinking about it as I eat my breakfast this morning.  Wren was a champ.  He cleaned the kitchen for a good solid 10 hours yesterday (that's not even counting the time he spent taking down all the doors, drape rods, outlet plug/light switch covers, cleaning all the walls, patching holes... etc).  Poor guy was sweating and dry heaving, but somehow not complaining as usual.  Oh honey, the mess you got yourself into when marrying me.  Our life is going to be one big project and this is just the beginning.  And my mom was so sweet too.  She came and helped Wren finish the dreaded kitchen job.  They handed me the clean pieces as I painted them.  I cannot even tell you how many cupboards, drawers,  and shelves (yes I had to paint every last shelf and inside of drawers too because they were just that gross) there are in that kitchen.  They kept coming and coming and coming.  The cupboards/drawers/shelves shown above are only about half of what I had to paint last night.  I painted for a good 8 hours and only got the first coat done on one side.  Kill me now.
Are you guys jealous?
Don't judge our kitchen too harshly just yet though.  If what we have envisioned is possible (I'm not so sure anymore at this point) it's going to be pretty cool.
P.S.  Anyone want to come clean our fridge?  I'll pay you.  You think I'm joking, I'm not.
We're so done with cleaning.
Call me if you're interested.
OKAY AND NOW FOR A VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION...
WHAT COLOR SHOULD WE PAINT OUR BEDROOM?  WE CAN'T DECIDE!
Here is what our bed/bedding looks like.  I would love to do a very light blue gray color but we think it's going to clash with the headboard.  We have considered a light yellow, but I'm not so sure...  We have to start tomorrow so need to just pick already.
What are you favorite colors for bedrooms?
PLEASE HELP!

Oh and don't forget to enter the giveaway HERE!  Fun stuff!
