34 Weeks+Funnest Website+Link Up

Shirt: Gap
Skirt: Ross
Necklace: Fashion To Figure
Pink Ring: Fashion To Figure
Guys and girls... let's talk about the necklace and ring I'm wearing shall we?  Fashion To Figure, a full-fashion company that carries trendy and fashionable clothes for plus size women as well as super fun accessories, was awesome enough to send me a gift certificate to pick out some fun items from their website.  The quality and look of everything I received are great and I just can't say enough good things about them!  Check their stuff out HERE, awesome bright colors for summer!
In other fun news, I am officially 34 weeks today.  Time flies when you're growing a human don't it?  I had a doctor's appointment and she said everything is looking great and that I need to take an hour rest every afternoon while laying on my left side.  I'd say that's the most sound advice this girl's ever received.  Done and done Dr. Thacker.  She also said I could, and will probably start, feeling Braxton Hicks contractions soon and that by my next appointment in a couple weeks I could be starting to dilate!?  WHAT!?  How am I this close already?
And according to babycenter.com, this week my little guy is the size of a cantaloupe which is almost five pounds.
My little five pound cantaloupe of love.  Can't wait to meet this man baby friend of ours already!

Guess Who's FINALLY Moved In?

US!
This past weekend has been hard and long and exhausting, but so exciting...  We are finally all settled into our new home.  We have slept there for four nights now.  After taking two baths (and lots of showers), making nine meals, doing three loads of laundry, and watching one movie (while eating way too many Oreos and milk), it's really starting to feel like ours  We walk around admiring all the hard work we've put in over the last month and can't believe we actually get to live here now.  It's the best feeling to just feel settled.  I haven't felt that way for months now.
Wren has a slight obsession with baby boy's nursery.  It is pretty sweet to see him in there hanging the light, setting up the crib, and doing his best to make it perfect for his little arrival.  I think it's safe to say it's his favorite room in the house :)  It's pretty dang cute!
BIG thanks to our amazing families who helped us out this weekend.  We are so lucky to have you and I would probably be in labor right now if it weren't for you guys!
Although we have done a few, we still have many final touches we will be doing.
We can't wait to show LOTS of before and after pictures...
Coming very soon!

Wren's Birthday Date

(I know, the maternity pants and Tevas are just too much)
On Wren's birthday last week I surprised him with getting him off of work at noon.  We headed up to the house so I could see the finished floors.  LOVED THEM (pictures coming this week).  He opened his presents as we sat on the floor of the nursery and it made me so excited thinking of all the birthdays we will celebrate there in the coming years and the memories we will make.
After, I had intended taking him to lunch at Christopher's Steak House, but by the time we got there it was past 2:00 and apparently they close down from 2:00 to 4:00... boo, who does that?  Anyway, we were starving so headed over to Astro Burger (I know, quite the upgrade, ha, but JUST as good!) instead and saw Avengers (worst movie ever, but that's a topic for a different day, I could write PARAGRAPHS).
Friday night I got my game face on and we went and ate dinner at Christopher's Steak House and both loved it.  Baby likes steak and potatoes very much right now.
It felt like the first real date we had gone on in months!
So happy that you were born Wren and that we were able to celebrate your big day in TWO days!

Love you!

Why Home Depot Can Kiss My...+Link Up!

You guys, my stomach is getting tighter and tighter by the day.
I don't know how this baby has any more room to grow?  I still have a month and a half left and he's not growing anywhere but out, and down, and more and more into my bladder.
Speaking of bladders.  ALL I EVER HAVE TO DO IS PEE.  It's the whole big story of my life.  I'm not exaggerating.  The second I stand up from the toilet, I have to go again.  It never ceases.  If Wren could count the minutes he has had to wait for me to go to the bathroom he would've had time to write a novel.  It's been this way since I was around 14 weeks and I only see it getting worse.
I guess this little guy really likes pushing on his mommy's bladder?!
Now my point to this post?
Well Home Depot of course.
CLEARLY, a man designed where the bathrooms would be placed in this store.  I have been to almost every Home Depot in the valley MULTIPLE times in the last month and every single one has their bathroom so annoyingly placed clear at the back of the store, or side/back of the store by the lumber.  Who ever needs to go to the back or lumbers sections of Home Depot anyways?  Especially poor pregnant ladies?  Well because I'm me, and my baby's him, and we are always having to check into the lady's room... this has been QUITE the predicament.  Every time I am there trying to gather the many un-interesting items on my husband's honey do list, I find myself booking it to the bathroom at least a couple times.  Let's face it, going to the bathroom when I'm not pregnant is inconvenient, but when every step I take makes it that much harder to hold myself together and I have to trek that far to go, it's basically the worst.
So kids, your take home point today is...
Home Depot+Pregnant Me+Bathrooms in the Most INCONVENIENT Place Ever= HELL.
Home Depot, I love you but...
How dare you?

Finished Floors and Onto Baseboards

The floors are officially done!  I couldn't be happier with the color or the sheen.
Go YOU Wren, I can't believe how much work you put into them.
Hopefully you're slowly coming down from the poly urethane high?

Saturday we started working on the baseboards.  We decided to go with a 5 1/2 inch high square baseboard.
I love clean and simple and I really like how they are turning out.
Let me tell you what too, base boarding an entire house is no easy task.  I have some weird shooting pain in my butt every time I walk now, I think from sitting on the hard floors for so long.
BUT, they're installed, caulked, puttied, sanded, and half way done being painted.
The last big project and we are moving in and moving on already!

I feel like everything we have done this far has been one big man project, so I splurged a little and went and bought some wallpaper...
I have always wanted a high gloss black wall and I found just the wallpaper for it.
Can't wait to show you once it's up!
But in the meantime, back to the boring man jobs and the millionth trip to Home Depot.

PS I have re-done the links at the top of my blog titled Our Place, and DIY.  They are much easier to navigate through now.  You can catch up with us on our house journey by going to Our Place or find fun tutorials and recipes under DIY.
I'm quite proud about them, so check them out!  :)

Solar Eclipse Two Thousand 12

Last night, Wren's family, my sister, and her friend came up and we watched the eclipse from the prefect spot.  We brought camp chairs up (mine reclined and was amazing), shot the breeze, and hopefully didn't burn out our rods and cones (Kinley's high tech slang for our eyes).  It really was the prefect end to a busy, busy day.
OH HOW I LOVE SUMMER NIGHTS!
Wren snapped some incredible pictures that I will be sharing soon.
Did you get to see the eclipse?

What We've Been Up To When We're Not Slaving Away At The House...

Staying at Wren's parent's house has been a little slice of heaven.
It's been a place where I can separate myself from the house and relax a little bit.
Wren has gotten a few good rides in...
I have been trying my darndest to drink as much water as I can.
Having to pee every half hour anyway makes the task a daunting one.
But I will keep on.
McKinley is home right now too (sorry half your adult children moved back in with you Hollie!) and is of constant comedic value.
Ladies?  Any takers?
Member this post?  How could you forget!?
His chest hair is out of this world already, and then Eden went and shaved it into a tie and pocket.
Wow.
He is quite the ham...
I fried myself to a crisp while laying out on their decks.
We have been fed like kings and queens...
And have had many cozy movie nights in front of their projector.
Thanks for opening up your home to all of us crazy kids Hollie and McKell!
We love you guys!

Girlfriend Baby Shower

I attended my first baby shower on Tuesday night.  My sweet friends made everything so so cute and I received the funnest stuff for this little guy.  I think I've got to have the most generous, funniest, coolest friends out there.
Love you guys and thank you SO much!
